Dr Jou-Yi Shih recieved her PhD from the University of Southampton and she has work experiences in three different railway research centres in the UK, Institute of Sounds and Vibrations (ISVR), Institute of Railway Research (IRR), and Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE). She has been involved in many European projects and obtains excellent railway connections in both academia and industry. She specialises in numerical simulation including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Multi-body simulation (MBS) and she has competent for structure dynamics, ground vibration, material mechanics, lab test (e.g. fatigue and settlement test), and site measurement for dynamic in bridge, track, and railway S&C. She is also familiar with many programming languages such as Fortran, Python, Matlab and VBA.
